Navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme can be difficult and time consuming. The NDIS has new ways for people with a disability to access care and to provide the financial support to achieve this. At Mackay Community Visitors Association, we provide clients with NDIS support services such as improving community access and providing suitable transportation.
Whether you’re self-managed, agency managed or NDIS managed, no out-of-pocket expenses will occur for clients. We are the only aged care agency in Mackay that provides NDIS support through transport and community

Different Levels of Funding
The NDIS supports three levels of funding, depending on your lifestyle and how your disability impacts the use of regular transport.
- Level 1 – up to $1,606 for participants who don’t work, study or attend day programs; however, are seeking to enhance their community access
- Level 2 – up to $2,472 for participants who work or study part-time, participate in day programs and other social, recreational or leisure activities
- Level 3 – up to $3,456 for participants who work, are looking for work or studying at least 15 hours a week and are unable to use public transport because of their disability
