MCVA Transport provides service to the frail and aged, younger people who are NDIS eligible and carers who are find it difficult to access mainstream transport options for non-urgent medical related appointments, shopping and social events. Medical appointments include doctors, optometrists, podiatrists, audiologists, chiropractors, physical therapy, dental, counselling and chiropractic services. MCVA cannot provide a service to anyone who requires assistance following any type of medical procedure.
MCVA Transport has two people movers, one which is fitted with a wheelchair loader to allow clients with mobility limitations, access to the service. A sedan is also available to assist clients who find it more suitable for their needs.
MCVA Transport drivers are employed to provide the highest standard of service to our users, with all drivers certified in first aid and operation of the wheelchair loader. Drivers hold driver’s authority and current criminal history checks to ensure quality.

To provide a safe, reliable, comfortable door to door transport service to enhance the lives of those in our local community who need assistance.
Suitability
MCVA transport is only suitable for individuals who require support to and from their destination and can manage independently and without personal risk. If a person requires assistance and support to access the vehicle, or to access destinations, they need to travel with a carer.
Booking
All intending transport users need to register for the service. Once all required documentation has been finalised you will be notified in writing that you are ready to make your first booking.
All bookings need to be made by 2.30 pm the day prior you wish to travel at the latest. MCVA is unable to take same day bookings.

Fees
Minimal client contributions are payable by all who travel with MCVA Transport. Carers travel at half the designated rate. Contact the office to learn more about costs.
NDIS
MCVA provides care and support to not only the elderly, but also to younger NDIS participants. Our organisation strives to encourage and assist participants to achieve their nominated goals by providing transport and community participation.
As well as providing transport and social support to our target groups, MCVA also recruits, trains and supports volunteers who wish to visit with residents of aged care facilities.
