Does your family live far away, or are they too busy to regularly visit? Are you spending too much time at home and getting lonely? At Mackay Community Visitors Association, we promote inclusion, participation and friendship for people who are feeling isolated in aged care facilities or in their own homes. Discover our extensive range of aged care services, from home visits to transportation, volunteering, NDIS support and so much more!
We aim to enhance the lives of our clients who experience limited contact with family and friends, experience mental health issues, cultural barriers, mobility issues, disabilities, illness or isolation.
To be eligible for our services, you must register with My Aged Care and be over 65, or over 50 for Indigenous people. My Aged Care will provide all the information on how to access our aged care services. Once registered, our coordinator will visit the client to discuss their unique needs.
We’ll then organise
transportation,
visitation or other support services.
NDIS clients can directly access our services by having their representative or coordinator contact us on
07 4953 4878.
We’re always on the lookout for volunteers; they are the heart and soul of our operation. Our volunteers aim to create lifelong friendships with our clients.
Discover our extensive range of NDIS support services, from improving community access to providing transportation. We also organise aged care facility or in-home visits for our clients.
Enjoy new friendships thanks to our visitor service. We’ll introduce you to a special visitor who will go on outings with you or catch up for a coffee.
Experience safe, reliable and comfortable door to door transport services. We strive to help our clients by providing transport services for community members who need assistance.
